Ghosts and goblins may be scary. But what’s more frightening than something that changes you into something you weren’t? Think Invasion of the Body Snatchers, vampires, or zombies who transform you or your loved ones into monsters. But this Halloween, and beyond, we want to do our part to stop a more mundane and temporary transformation from taking you over – hangriness! So if you’re hungry in Roanoke, we have the talisman to stave it off.
We’ve shared before about how, even though it’s more associated with the summer, we think barbecue is a natural fit for the cooler months of the year. It’s hearty, it’s warm, and it reheats well. Of course, the cooler weather (depending on the day right now) is only one of the excellent reasons to choose Due South when you’re hungry in Roanoke!
Hungry in Roanoke on a Dark and Stormy Night…
It was a dark and stormy night when a group of friends were getting hungry in Roanoke, Virginia. When the first stomach rumblings began, Jake asked where people wanted to eat.
That’s when the trouble began. Lacy wanted something close by. But Chase was focused on getting something hardy. Cristy didn’t have any input about where she wanted to go, but she kept shooting down everyone else’s suggestions.
One thing was for sure. No one wanted fast food.
Sadly, the friends went back and forth for 30 minutes trying to decide where to go and went off on various tangents, distracting them from the issue at hand.
In all the conversation, no one noticed the transformation.
Jake was going from hungry, to starving, to hangry, and soon he put all of his friendships at risk when he said he was famished and would go eat by himself if he had to!
The friends stared at him wide-eyed, not knowing what to do next…
Don’t let this happen to you!
Due South has the solution for everything the friends wanted. Conveniently located on the border of Roanoke and Salem, we’re a quick trip from anywhere! With hearty meals of smoked meats and from-scratch sides, we have something for everyone, so even if one dish isn’t to someone’s liking, they’re sure to find another.
Your Costume Should Be Scary, Not Your Ingredients
When you’re hungry in Roanoke, you want something to fill you up, tickle your taste buds, and not give you any scary side effects. That means using quality ingredients.
We use delicious, recognizable cuts of meat that our customers love! And all of our sauces are made in-house, including our brand new, Indian Curry BBQ Fusion!
So while you can completely cover them up like a kid in a bed sheet pretending to be a ghost, you won’t have any misconceptions about what you’re looking at beneath that saucy deliciousness. So extend the metaphor by co-opting a song from a movie, you don’t need to be afraid of ghosts.
Forget Candy, Trick or Treat for Smoked Meat!
Trick or Treating is fun, but that sugar crash isn’t. Get some serious protein instead when you’re hungry in Roanoke this Halloween (or any time) with our delicious smoked meat and tasty sides.
And don’t worry, we serve ghosts, goblins, and witches too.
